PUBLIC REGISTRY

The official record of Sports Nutrition practitioners

Search practicing members, the Unaffiliated & Non-Compliant Register, and the Discipline Register. A core part of how the SNA protects the public and upholds professional standards.

PUBLIC PROTECTION

Why the registry exists

A profession is only as trustworthy as the standards it holds its members to. The registry is how we make those standards visible, accountable, and enforceable.

Transparency

Anyone can verify whether a practitioner is currently registered, what level they hold, and whether they have any disciplinary actions on record.

Accountability

Registration is a commitment. Practitioners who breach the Code of Conduct or fall outside occupational standards are recorded publicly, not quietly removed.

Public Trust

Clients, employers, insurers, and regulators can make informed decisions when choosing a sports nutrition practitioner to work with.

SEARCH THE REGISTRY

Find a practitioner

Use the tabs below to switch between the three registries. Search by name to find a specific practitioner.

Practicing

Current, active members in good standing. These are Accredited Sports Nutritionists with a valid scope of practice and compliance with professional development requirements.

Unaffiliated & Non-Compliant Register

Practitioners who were previously affiliated with and endorsed by the SNA, but are no longer operating within the occupational standards of their country, state or region - whether in scope of practice, qualifications, or practitioner registration requirements. The SNA is not affiliated with any services these practitioners provide from the date of their listing onward.

Discipline Register

Practitioners who have been subject to disciplinary action. Includes the nature of the breach, actions taken, and the date recorded.

Practicing members

Practitioners listed here are currently accredited with the SNA. They have met the qualification requirements for their registration level, are compliant with annual professional development (CPD) obligations, have active professional insurance eligibility where applicable, and operate within the Scope of Practice for their accreditation tier.

Inclusion on this list tells the public that the practitioner is recognised, compliant, and accountable to the SNA’s professional standards.

Unaffiliated & Non-Compliant Register

This register identifies practitioners who were previously affiliated with and endorsed by the SNA, but have since chosen to operate outside the occupational standards recognised in their country, state or region.

This typically means one or more of the following: they no longer meet the scope of practice requirements for their tier, their qualifications fall outside current accreditation standards, or they have not maintained the practitioner registration and compliance obligations required in their jurisdiction.

These practitioners have been made aware of the standards and have elected to continue operating outside of them. From the date of listing, the SNA is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, any services they provide.

This register is not punitive. It is a public-interest measure the Association takes to protect clients, peers, and insurers, and to indemnify the SNA from any activity conducted outside the professional framework we set and maintain.

Practitioners can be removed from this register by re-establishing compliance with the current occupational standards and re-registering with the SNA.

Discipline register

The discipline register records practitioners who have been subject to formal disciplinary action by the SNA following a breach of the Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice, or other professional standards.

Each entry includes the practitioner's name, a description of the breach, the action taken, and the date recorded.

Inclusion on the discipline register only occurs after a full investigation and disciplinary process. Practitioners are notified and have the right to respond before any action is finalised.

Due Process

How someone is added or removed

Adding a name to the Unaffiliated & Non-Compliant Register or Discipline Register is a deliberate, evidence-based process. It is never arbitrary.

1

Complaint or Review

A complaint is lodged by a client, employer, peer, or regulator - or a compliance review is initiated by the SNA.

2

Preliminary Assessment

The SNA reviews the substance of the complaint or compliance concern and determines whether further investigation is warranted.

3

Investigation

Evidence is gathered. The practitioner is formally notified of the concern, provided the details, and given the opportunity to respond.

4

Determination

A determination is made based on the evidence. Possible outcomes include: no finding, warning, mandatory training, suspension, or removal from the registry with listing on the discipline register.

5

Right of Appeal

Practitioners have the right to appeal the determination. Appeals are reviewed by a separate panel to ensure impartiality.
